One of the most important elements of travel is capturing those moments of spontaneous fun and adventure on video. Oh, the memories…
But what type of video camera should you choose in a world where everything is becoming smaller, easier, and more portable? There are so many options!
I have found the Flip Ultra HD to be the ultimate video camera for traveling.
To begin, its design is cool, think: minimalist meets retro. The Flip Ultra HD is so compact it fits in your pocket. Plus, with only a few operating buttons this easy-to-use camera is seriously idiot proof.
The Flip Ultra HD holds 2 hours of high definition video in 720p, shoots in widescreen 16:9, and has a 2 inch screen. If, besides being a world traveler you are also a social media junkie, the Flip Ultra HD comes with a USB arm (hence the “flip”) so you can quickly upload your videos to your computer and share them on your favorite sites!
We’ll let you in on the pros and cons and well as video samples in our Flip Ultra HD review below.
Advantages: portability, easy to use, HD quality, FlipShare software included for editing and sharing online, plenty of recording time (2 hrs), rechargeable battery (you can also use 2 AA batteries), USB arm for easy upload to your computer.
Disadvantages: no image stabilizer, only 2x digital zoom, non-expandable memory.
