I took this picture a few years ago with a regular point-and-shoot camera. I decided to show it today since last evening it was the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City.
This is one of the most famous traditions in New York City and, since 1931, this annual event is also a huge boost for tourism. According to the Rockefeller spokesman, the Christmas Tree helps bring an extra 400,000 visitors to the center every day.
And let me tell you, visiting New York City during the holidays is an experience you should live at least once in your life. The Christmas Tree will be lit up until January 7, 2010.
