The moment I stepped foot on Salvation Mountain I felt I was entering the Yellow Submarine with The Beatles in search of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Salvation Mountain is a colorful holy site, a unique tribute to God and his powerful message of love. This magical site lies in the middle of nowhere located two miles away from the town of Niland, California, in the southern part of the state.
But the real Nowhere Man here is Leonard Knight, the creator of Salvation Mountain. His love and energy are so contagious, and he is admired by everyone who visits this place, regardless of spiritual inclinations.
