Wine, Dine, & Hike in Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is one of the most famous coastal areas in Italy. Comprised of five small towns, barely accessible by car, most tourists arrive by train and spend several days hiking from village to village.

The best time to visit is off-season in either spring or fall, as both the summer temperatures and prices can be too hot to handle.

If you really want to get enough of those breathtaking views while putting those legs to work, we suggest picking a base camp (there are, after all, five villages to choose from!) and and staying put for several days. Each afternoon, pick a different village as your hiking destination and eat your heart out at a local trattoria while sipping the wine which grows on the vines overlooking the sea.

Here’s a video of our recent trip to Cinque Terre:

Don’t forget to pack good hiking boots!
