If you’re looking for an amazing value—great wine for a great price—Liberty School’s 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is just for you.

LibertySchoolCabernetSauvignon2008This wine has all the markings of a Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s full-bodied and heavy on the dark cherries and berry fruits.

Besides, there’s no escaping the heavy oak, chocolate notes, and in-your-face Paso Robles spicy finish.

“Silky but firm tannins” is definitely a correct assumption.

The wine doesn’t dry out your mouth, but instead, coats your tongue with more of that fruity-goodness.

All of these elements make their 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon a good, well-balanced wine with personality.

Finally, there’s “Liberty and justice for all wine drinkers” when you notice the retail price… only $12/bottle. Definitely a bargain deal for something that adds this much spice to your life!

Pairings: Definitely suitable for drinking alone, red meats, or strong cheeses

Visit Paso Robles Wine Country:

While they’re well-known for their peppery and full-bodied reds (this Liberty wine is a clear example), I’d highly recommend you give their whites and rosés a chance as well because there are some amazing gems out there. Like this Pithy Little Wine Co.

The AVA makes visiting Paso Robles a breeze for tourists, just check out their website. There’s winery information, everything you need to know about hotels or other lodgings, and of course amazing culinary options. Oh, and they even have a check list for planning the perfect wine country getaway.

If you’re like me… as much as you love wine, you can only taste so much before you simpy feel like doing something else.

In that case, consider these Paso Robles hikes or some R&R at River Oaks Hot Springs.

Clearly, Paso Robles offers the ideal wine tourism adventure… a great place to travel with fine wine. What more could a wine lover need?
