Miss Vicky Wine Creates Flurry of Fleurie

I recently caught up with Miss Vicky Wine at the 2010 European Wine Bloggers Conference in Vienna, Austria. We sat in the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace to taste and talk about her 2007 Fleurie, a fun cru from Beaujolais.
Flowery and sexy, this 2007 Fleurie is a light and easy sipping wine. The slight tannins don’t overpower the palate making this a pleasantly balanced wine. Pairs well with poultry, soup, goat cheese, and yes… hamburger.
Miss Vicky’s Fleurie comes from beautiful Beaujolais, France. Often dubbed the “Tuscany of France,” it’s a wine region where simple pleasures rule: gorgeous walks (even village-designated wine paths!), amazing food, hundreds of small wineries, and quintessential French inns.
In other words: a must-visit destination for wine tourism.
No worries if you’re unable to travel to Beaujolais at the moment. Miss Vicky’s 2007 Fleurie is available in the United States and can be shipped right to your door for $18.80/bottle.
